was born and raised in Franklin, TN. She grew up dancing at the Ann Carroll School of Dance. Trained by Julie Carroll Palmer, McKenzie began to love everything about tap dance: the rhythm, technicality, and practice it took to make music with her feet. She went on to study many genres of dance in college at Western Kentucky University, where she double majored in Dance and English. Under tap professor Amanda Clark, McKenzie continued to receive excellent training in honing her craft. After graduating in 2015, she taught several styles of dance in her hometown for two years. McKenzie moved to Memphis in 2017, and is excited to be a part of the local dance community.
