Kelby Auten

is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and the Mahurin Honors College with a BA in Dance and a Minor in Performing Arts Administration (Magna Cum Laude). During her time at Western, she was the President of the WKU Student Chapter of the National Dance Education Organization,   a member of the   Dance Company, a member of the National Honors Society for Dance Arts (with honors), received a FUSE grant to travel to The Big Apple Tap Festival in NYC, was awarded a scholarship to study abroad at Ballet de Civitavechhia in Italy, and was selected as Outstanding Student in Dance for 2016-2017.   Kelby   has   also   trained   at   the  Rockette   Summer   Intensive, and completed the Professional Intern Training program at Stephen Foster Productions in Bardstown, KY.  She recently completed her fifth consecutive season as a featured dancer in the Stephen Foster Story, and as tap captain and ensemble member in Mary Poppins.  Kelby is the past coordinator of the Bella Ballet program at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, and currently teaches at Children’s Ballet Theatre in Memphis.
